Home : News : PassGen - A Password Generating Utility

So ... what have I been up to since last time? I've started playing with Arduino to try to finally teach myself about electronics and microcontrollers; I'm still working my way through the simple example circuits to get the hang of it, but I should have something slightly more interesting to post about it soon. Once I've learned the basics I intend to put together a small mobile robot (I have pipe dreams about a homebrew Roomba-like floor sweeping robot that would suit my domestic laziness but for now, realistically, it's just going to be a 'wall banger' (well, with IR range finders so hopefully an obstacle avoider)). When I start on that I'll create a project page for it, or possibly just shoe-horn it in under Lereco since it's really a practice robot for the Lereco test-bed robot I'm planning to build this Summer.

There's been a new Ubuntu release of course - I've barely scratched the surface of it so far myself, my excuse being that my internet connection's been down for a while since I've just moved flat again. It's back up now, though, so once I get a decent work environment set up here I should start making a bit of progress again.

In the meantime, I've written PassGen, a little GUI application in C# .NET to practice Windows Forms that generates passwords based on grammar files. It's very, very small and simple but useful enough to start a project page for it here and I've got a few ideas for improvements that I'll hopefully get around to shortly since (unlike most of my to-do list) they should take a few minutes each to implement.

No movement yet on the major site rehash I keep mentioning, but honestly, it's going to happen Real Soon Now :)
